How to set up the 2015 Speedmaster "Silver Snoopy Award"

Ref. 311.32.42.30.04.003 · cal. 1861
Verified ★ Snoopy edition Time Chronograph Tachymeter Hand-wound

Short answer: It runs on calibre 1861. Wind it at crown position 1, pull to 2 and turn to set the time. The seconds hand doesn't stop, so use light backward pressure on the crown to sync it. The "What could you do in 14 seconds?" print refers to the time the Apollo 13 crew needed for one of their mid-course corrections.

Chrono hand not at 12

Reset chronograph hands on the Omega Speedmaster Professional "Silver Snoopy Award" (2015, Apollo 13 45th)

  1. 1

    Check: is the chrono stopped?

Top pusher starts and stops. Bottom resets, but only when stopped.

  2. 2

    Still not at zero? Service

On this mechanical movement the hands are reset by internal cams. There's no user re-alignment, so an authorised service centre needs to fix it.

Pressing pushers in other crown positions won't help, and can cause damage.
